The College of Science organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled:
“Mechanisms and Requirements for Obtaining Program Accreditation: A Roadmap Toward Academic Excellence.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hikmat Adnan Jawad and attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and academic staff.
The workshop aimed to present the conceptual and practical framework of program accreditation, highlighting the standards and indicators adopted in evaluating academic programs. It also outlined the essential requirements and organizational procedures necessary for obtaining accreditation, in a way that enhances the quality of the educational process and keeps pace with national and international standards in higher education.
The workshop topics included a detailed presentation of the mechanisms for preparing program accreditation files and methods for documenting evidence and supporting materials in accordance with approved quality models. In addition, it addressed the key challenges faced by academic departments in implementing accreditation standards and discussed ways to overcome them using sound scientific methodologies.
The College Deanship emphasized the importance of adopting quality assurance and academic accreditation concepts as a fundamental pillar in the development of academic programs, praising the efforts of the workshop organizers and the lecturer’s contribution to enriching academic knowledge.
